武吉甲巴央区州议员谢琪清指出，华人华人应该多关心母语教育的发展，华社一路走来虽然面对了许多风风雨雨，但是这一切的努力意义深远。
“若不是先贤艰辛为华社牺牲的话，今日的话社就没有任何地位，所以我们不能忘记先贤们的功劳。
“维持母语教育需要漫长的时间，所以大家为由巴希望寄托于中学生。”
他鼓励高中五的学生在大马教育文凭考试中，一定要报考华文，虽然华文很难考获优等，但是只要肯努力，一定能延续华文教育在我国的地位。
他希望更多华裔子弟踊跃报考华文，使到话社地位水平获得提升。
此外，他也希望新纪元风波内的双方能够在一个双赢方式下，获得良好的解决方案，和平解决问题，否则我国华校将会面对内患外忧的情况下，母语发展前途受到影响。
