It was a lovely Saturday morning which i thought when i woke up in the morning it will be a great day as we are going to have a long weekend ahead and i can get to rest during the holiday.
I got a press conference in the morning on the abandoned project in Kemayan Square. After that, me and my PA Lee Kai Yet went together to IJM and S2 to look at my constituency. It was about 12pm, Kaiyet received a call from the office, my Executive Secretary, Cheng Wai Fong yelled to the phone 'come back quickly, office has been robbed!!'.
We were surprised. Without hesitation, we rushed back to office and called the police on the way. And called back again to the office to ask the situations, Wai Fong's reaction is cool and calm. So we thought only laptops were being stolen and she is fine.
However, when we reached back at office, i was shocked when i saw her. She was bleeding, i nearly couldn't recognised her as she was being punched brutally. Bruises were all over her face.
She tells her tales before the ambulance came.
It was about 11:45am, two Indians came up to the Service Center pretending as complainants who seek my help. I always instruct her to lock the door when no one is around and so she did.
She opened up the door and the man push in suddenly. She quickly pushed the man away and try to escape. Unexpectedly, the second man was ambushing outside and catches her, knock her to the wall a few times.
The two mens then punches her about 40 times, trying to stun her to unconsciousness but to no avail. One of the man then drag her into my room with a small knife (pics), and tried to rape her. The man tried to lock my room and placed the small knife beside Wai Fong, Wai Fong quickly took the small knife and stabbed the suspect in his left chest, and left some blood stain on the sofa(Pics). She then break the knife to prevent him to harm her using the knife. I must say, she is a brave woman.
I believed that the other man was searching the common area of my center at that time.
Suffering the injury, the two men run away, together with RM2000+cash, camera, 2 brand new laptops.
Property and money loss is nothing compared to what has happened to Wai Fong. I hope the police will bring the 2 men to justice as soon as possible.
