（芙蓉9日讯）民主行动党森州秘书谢琪清律师认为政府在2012年才恢复以母语教授数理科，是在拖延时间，因为下届大选很有可能会在2011年或2012年举行.

他认为，政府的这项宣佈，原本是受欢迎及期待已久的，但是为何要等到2012年才真正的实行呢？这证明了政府是毫无诚意，但是在人民，民间教育团体以及反对党的施压下才“被逼”在小学恢复以母语教授数理科。

谢琪清也是武吉甲巴央区州议员，他认为，若政府有诚意，应该在2010年开学时，就全面以母语教授数理科，因为目前还有半年的时间，以便教育部可以准备课本及其他教学材料。

谢氏也认为在中学以马来文教授数理科是“开倒车”的措施。其实，中学应该继续以英文教授数理科，因为当学生升上中学，他们已经能掌握基本的数理概念，也对数理科有一定的基础。

他希望教育部能重新检讨在2012年才开始实行的小学母语教数理政策。合理的决定应该是在2010年实行。如果政府坚持要在2012年才实行，也印证了国阵政府为了赢取第13届大选而做出的政治决定。

I opined that the government should not have delayed in abolishing the PPSMI until the year of 2012.

Teaching of Mathematics and Science should be in mother language of each race and it should be started next year if not immediately.

If the government has any sincerity in making the changes, why should there any delay until 3 years later? It shown that the government has no sincerity in making such decision but filled with political motive as the next general election is likely to be held in 2011 or 2012, the issue will become the political asset to promote BN.

Apart from that, the two subjects should be taught in English instead of B.Malaysia in secondary school。 Secondary school is the bridge for student to further study in tertiary education. The education system should have prepare the student to be ready for tertiary education.
